One oddity about The New Avengers is it basically happened because of the French, who put the money up (in theory, it never arriving caused problems), meaning 3 episodes shot in Paris.

Despite the massive behind the scenes problems on X (they had to do an extra session of pickups to finish the episodes), it was another huge hit for Dave, so a mere 4 years later, more followed.
This time, bringing a new co-production company in and shooting two seasons together.

OK, they've found an excuse to dress Kaori's actress in a skimpy cavegirl costume with "I can't believe you're wearing so little!" closeups of her legs and boobs, but hey, it's better than what Ako got the last couple and Raita is virtually naked next to her.

When checking Marlene, I saw IMDB claims one scene murder victim "George Crowley" (yes, The Professionals was under development) is played by Hugh "Runcible from The Deadly Assassin" Walters, but I'm pretty sure that's not him. And it certainly doesn't sound like him.

Tonight's New Avengers has one good idea (an MI6 chief faking an informant ring by dressing up and passing on stuff he's simply read in the papers for huge wads of cash).
Unfortunately the A plot is about a psychic and is terrible in various ways, including this title.
