They want to rehabilitate sex creeps and criminals because of some combination of the following: a) they've got something in their own past they don't want to have bring them down, b) they want the creep prerogatives that used to come with the gig, c) they're just plain sexist motherfuckers
I'm flummoxed by the underground movement to rehab cancelled figures. There's a rumor that a studio head is planning to begin bringing cancelled people back. It's bananas. The industry has contracted, leaving writers, directors and actors scrambling for work and we're making space for sex criminals?

these are hard times and things can wear you down more than you think, until the kettle on your head doesn’t seem like such a bad idea after all

You know what? Maybe we let "I was just following orders" stand as a defense.

But we execute the person who gave the order.

Thing about this is, optimistically, the charity takes your car, does basic repair/maintenance, then puts it up for auction & uses the resulting funds to buy food, clothes, and other necessities for those they're helping. Yes, there are corrupt charities, but sometimes you don't know how they work.
this reminds me of a friend who thought he was middle class so he donated his car to a charity that helps poor people and a month later, he saw his car at his neighbor's house

Who else is up at 2 AM because an attempt to change the water in their fish tank resulted in at least 3.5 gallons of water being splashed around their office?

Hey, lawyers, is it illegal to order soldiers to kill unarmed noncombatants who are clinging to life aboard a stricken ship?
Also recognize that this unambiguous use of the military to commit murder of helpless noncombatants as they fought for life is a direct reflection of the virulent white supremacy that has seized our government, where every Latino man is a gangbanger in a de facto state of war against White America

I learned Santa wasn't real when my siblings convinced me we should try to steal all the toys. So we set up a tripwire he'd have to cross. The sort of tripwire you have to pull taut, so they don't notice it lying on the floor.

Needless to say, dad's cursing cured me of such whimsy.
when i was a kid, i knew santa wasn't real and that it was my parents. what i could NOT figure out was where the fuck they hid it every year and how they managed to slip past me to put stuff under the tree unnoticed. my bedroom was right there and i was notorious for sleeping lightly lol

Something ridiculous about my cat Pluto:

If he's sitting in front of you & you reach down to pick him up, he will leap up on his hind legs and extend out his front legs like he's imitating Superman. And when you pick him up, he'll push his front legs out more, then hug you.

What a wonderful friend

I mean... yes?

PETA has spent more than 2 decades sexualizing animals as a means of trying to denigrate eating animals.

They're literally incapable, as an organization, of differentiating the act of eating something from the act of fucking it.
does peta sincerely think people are going to fuck the birds?

The act of "saving private Ryan" was morally irresponsible & ultimately a case of performative magnanimity. 0/10, I offer no recompense for the commanders who decided to sacrifice no less than 8 lives to save 1.

JD Vance clearly has never learned how to prepare turkey in his life.

I'd happily make turkey on the regular if it were economical to do so. Unfortunately, where I live, you only find turkey (or parts of turkey) readily available from October through December.

But, when I cook it, it's delicious.
