This store just went up and an effete-yet-powerful bald man is about to have a frustrating day
Thiel recently had a whole incoherent ramble about how One Piece influenced his spiritual beliefs, so yeah, I think it's safe to assume these guys aren't big readers.
You could try to make a joke out of Jar Jar Binks singing "Me Espresso" but I don't think it'd work. You wouldn't be able to shake the feeling like Sabrina Carpenter is kind of a goofball and it's probably already occurred to her.
"The Fantastic Four Roast" is the kind of thing they should absolutely be doing annually, as a little treat

You Are Witnessing A Great Becoming, Charlie Brown
Tasty, but come on guys. There's a clear promise that these are going to cause me intense pain. At most we're looking at a slow burn here.

on connolly's mandate/"low turnout" (45.8%)

she got so many number 1s (63.4%), that for her to NOT win on the *first count* you'd have to add so many voters ALL choosing someone else that the turnout would have been 58%, higher than every other pres election since 1990

she was unbeatable

I don't think younger fans are particularly on Hasbro's radar. Maybe I'm wrong but I feel like Transformers has fully pivoted into adult-aimed nostalgia line. Kids are the "welcome but not a priority" that adults used to be.
Lol, RTÉ did a "who are the vote spoilers?" article, and it's like "business owner, business owner, business owner, guy who tried to get on the ballot but couldn't, anti-immigrant youtuber"
ME: (laughing)
WIFE: What is it?
ME: How much Star Trek context do you feel like hearing?
WIFE: Not much.
ME: Guy online wrote a funny post.

Once again delighted that the Irish people went with the option that was cool af
I think those interests align.
Is a major paper saying that Steen not getting on the ballot represents a groundswell of popular support while Connolly winning is an outlier you shouldn't read too much into? The correct response is "lol, cope"
My hot take of the day: the media is always going to find an excuse for why a left victory doesn't count. Enjoy the win anyway and know that your haters are seething.
The story today should be a left-wing landslide but the scale of the spoiled votes is going to shit all over it.
The nerds of the 60s literally had to invent slash fiction for Star Trek. The existing means of lusting after dudes were insufficient to their needs.
roddenberry's biggest skill as a showrunner was finding guys that teenage girls would form crushes on and teenage boys would develop confused parasocial relationships to that were supposed to eventually resolve into a sort of father-son bond
Full Irish Communism is like regular Communism except you get puddings and soda bread
Early tallies are coming in, and it would appear that middle Ireland has spoken—I can only hope the transition to full Irish Communism they voted for is smooth
I would like to strongly support Fine Gael's decision to make this election a referendum on how far left the country is maybe 12 hours before Connolly absolutely dog walks them
When Little Orphan Annie does her posthumous guest spots in Dick Tracy, they should lean into the character's history and have her randomly say something astonishingly right-wing now and then.
Daughter asked the dog, "are you my honey hog?" I'm very proud of her.
Just ordered a pizza called "the honey hog." I am exactly the right amount of excited for this (a lot)
Not actually gonna make the Jeb 50-state sweep meme with Gavin on a map of Ireland, but I'll admit I thought about it
It insists upon itself.
Every time I speak to other Star Trek nerds is a countdown to us recreating the bit where Peter Griffin does not care for The Godfather, but with me and the TNG episode "Darmok"
