I'm glad people are doing absurdity but before the frog there was the woman in the t-Rex costume in LA shouting at the national guard: this is how ridiculous you look
She was making a public mockery of those specific people, not just and idea of violence but those literal troops on the ground.

I went to write my dad's phone number on something a couple months ago & almost wrote the phone number for our old place 25+ years ago.
The thing is, the number of digits were selected to be relatively easy to remember. But we also had paper address books.

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

You don't have to judge Columbus by the standards of today. His tenure as governor of Hispaniola was so horrific that he was dragged back to Spain in chains to answer for his many crimes.

Plus he never set foot on any land that would ever be a part of the United States of America.
