Honestly today hearing @heynowdana.com on @indie1023.bsky.social reminding listeners, as she does often, "I love you, I'm proud of you, I promise we are all going to be ok," almost made me cry. (It's a public, community radio station, so it means a little more than if it was some big station.)
And I'll keep saying it. Every single morning. 💖

After my Saturday punk show, I visited a few bars to see people I love, then bought two sushi rolls and a bouquet of flowers and treated myself to a Valentine's Day dinner at the last bar of the night.

I usually describe the taste of Malört as a cross between burning tires and that juice at the bottom of the kitchen trash can after you lift a full bag out of it.
I'm in a punk rock community that inexplicably loves Malort so I've drank more of this shit than I care to remember. I charitably refer to it tasting like someone spilled nail polish remover in an ashtray. I had pumpkin spice Malort once, which was even goddamn worse.
