I hate how most posts I see about being frugal are based on 1940s housewives or other romanticized white nostalgia. Like one, completely different era even from five years ago, & two, why aren’t we elevating (see: monetizing) voices of those who’ve already been navigating modern day poverty instead?

At a moment when SNAP is getting cut for 41 million Americans and groceries are almost prohibitively expensive, I had better not see anything about financial literacy classes.

Financial literacy classes for the poor implies that poverty is their fault.

They don’t need classes. They need finances!

I truly enjoy all his versions 🥰 Hermes protected my belongings during a cross-country (US) move that spanned several months, and the movers didn’t lose any of my stuff tho I did acquire extra furniture, bedding, and DnD books & cards, and he’s been a large presence in my life since. 😌

Sometimes it feels like the sky burns just to remind me how much beauty survives the dark.
