The more I think about how D'Angelo is suddenly gone (and listening to his music at work all afternoon has only added to that), the more I feel like crying.

I don't have nearly enough deep, heavy, Negro spiritual sighs to express how much this loss hurts.

Drew Struzan was responsible for some beautiful art, and much of it was displayed in posters that many of us know and love for movies that we also know and love.

Heartbreaking: Neo-soul legends Angie Stone and D’Angelo both passed away in 2025, just 7 months apart. Stone died in March at 63. D’Angelo died today at 51. They shared a son together. An entire generation’s soundtrack, gone. Rest in power to both 🕊️💔

After the success of the Brooklyn Bowl show, they ran it back in Philly at the Theater of the Living Arts on June 3, 2013. Once again, someone grabbed the audio and archived it. You gotta remember that D'Angelo was very out of the public eye at this time. People were FIENDING for this.
