🪶 Bowling pins
Seven wild turkey toms on a frosty back yard lawn. They are arrayed roughly like a triangle, sort of like bowling pins. They all have their heads down and are peck peck pecking at the ground. It’s early morning, shadows are long. It’s December, trees are bare.

Two wild turkey toms amongst the trees. There’s a thick blanket of fallen leaves beneath them. The trees are thin and scrubby, typical cape cod. The light is low, late afternoon in November.

🪶 Here’s a couple of city lads from Roslindale (part of Boston, MA). They were jerky and held up traffic on purpose

There’s a car turning onto the same street behind them, and they took their sweet old time before they moved out of the way. Bare trees, fire hydrant (with a yellow cap, as is the style around here), lamp posts and some area-typical three-decker houses behind them.
