Yeah it is worth noting that in my experience what you get sent to review is a PDF, so, y'know. Obviously if they *have* the book they should talk about the book itself, but!
I always think about the physical book when I'm looking at a game, but so much of the time I'm writing impressions based on a PDF.
If I could change ONE THING about TTRPG reviews I would force people to engage with the quality of the physical books themselves, not just the content inside.
It feels vanishingly rare to see a reviewer discuss form factor, paper stock, binding, cover treatments, or general durability etc. 1/2

Put in lots of effort to make sure my handouts and promo freebies were nice. Laid-out demo handouts, little printed killer busts, and business cards I'm very happy with. Every player got a goodie bag with a card, sticker, and bust.

I’ve been to Dragonmeet several times, but this year was a special one. This year was the first time I had something all of my own to show off and talk about (even if I didn’t have it to sell just yet), and I had every intent to make a spectacle of myself. Uh, in a good way.

you gotta remember that from a conservative perspective, these programs are a failure. they don't want to reduce homelessness, they want to punish homeless people. they'd pay 10x as much for that happily

Look, I get why fellow people who sculpt for 3D printing do not retopo (I do not either for that). But lads pls run a couple of decimates on your sculpts.
Can't count the number of times I've done a 0.05 decimate modifier on a 1GB sculpt and it looks exactly the same but is now 50mb.

I reckon I've been working about 30 out of the past 36 hours getting handouts ready for dragonmeet. I might pass out and I can taste copper after running to get the order in before closing, but it is done.
They're real good btw. Being a perfectionist is extremely annoying but does have upsides.
