it is impossible for a book to be cosy if the prose isn't good. sturdy, well-set prose is like 60% of any cosy read and this is the actual true reason why the cosy fantasy boom is wretched even before you get to the therapy speak and uninquisitive worldbuilding etc

Years ago I went through a phase of putting chicken legs on ... stuff?
Everything I've ever made has always been a bit absurd and self-indulgent.

For example: here is a breakfast radish on legs, which I made of wool and wire.
