Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet.

No, see, if the cat's calm then I'm calm. They might look a little spooky but the cat's telling me they're pretty chill dudes that probably just want to welcome me to the neighborhood. It's when my pets don't trust a person that we've got problems.
