Sis-in-law is home now, house private, funeral on Friday morning. (UK folk, that’s how we rumble here. You should try it.) Anyhow, she looked so peaceful and there was a hint of a smile. Tears were shed. Stories shared. We do death so well here. God rest you Jackie xxx

My sis-in-law, Jackie died this morning. She was generous, kind, loving and one this world’s good people. That’s her with her eldest, Stephen, who died a few years back. I hope they find each other there, wherever there might be. I hope they find light and rest. We’re heartbroken.

My sister in law, smiling, with my nephew, who was an incredible fellah.

Harman had 27 previous convictions including six for theft, five for drug offences, and one each for burglary, endangerment, criminal damage and a threat to kill.
In mitigation, Patrick Gageby SC, for Irving, said his client has a long history of ADHD and began taking drugs at a very early age.
He said reports since Irving went into custody indicate that he has remorse for and insight into his offending. He wrote a letter of apology to the victim's family.

One silver lining from four years of me in and out of the local chemist shop for me mother’s drugs…

I wandered in just now, asked for a pack of solpadeine and they asked if I wanted the capsules or the soluble stuff. No secret police questions, no warnings…
