"Monday Motto" - If your camera keeps zooming in on your genitals, you’ve missed the whole point of naturism and nudism. It’s about people, not parts. It's not a biology or anatomy lesson. It’s about comfort, respect, and being real. Zoom out. There’s a whole person there.

The Heritage Foundation, for those who don’t know, is behind Project 2025, the agenda playbook Trump has been following very closely since his 2nd swearing in. They’re a giant and EXTREMELY influential conservative think tank.

Please understand that Americans who have a serious chronic illness essentially have no where to run to.
(The immigration rules of countries with the kind of health care system it takes to keep me alive deny me admission because I'm seriously chronically ill, and, therefore, a 'drain on resources')

I am not done fighting.
I do need to get a good night's sleep. But please know that I am not done fighting for healthcare. I understand that many of you — many of US — die without medical care.

I think a number of press outlets badly want there to be a groundswell of anti-trans feeling, because the ownership/senior editorial of those papers have absolutely cooked their own brains on transphobia. It seems to be largely an elite psychosis!
the harris campaign said the “they/them” ad didn’t sway the election.
one of the trump campaign’s top strategists this week said trans rights isn’t in the top five issues for swing voters.
when will the press stop talking about us like we’re a liability and start looking itself in the mirror

I'd write it differently now, but the core argument that these fields of inquiry are essential for making sense of the world, for asking new questions, for reacting to change (the birth of a disabled child, a body that ages - not just big global change), remains my position.

The belief that Nazis arise as a consequence of the left’s (fictional) behavior is itself a Nazi ideological frame. Believing this makes you an OG classic 1930s Hitler sympathizer *at best* and an actual ideological Nazi at worst.

A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.
Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."
Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

Do with that what you will.

She’s right. The government started putting gender on passports in 1972 out of concern that men and women were getting too hard to tell apart, what with all the hippies with long hair and feminists in pants and whatnot.
Strike gender from IDs. Everywhere. It serves no purpose. @murray.senate.gov

@murray.senate.gov When the government is back in session, will you introduce a bill to take “sex/gender” off passports? There is no reason for it to be there, and, indeed, it’s only been there because of the misogyny of our government in 1972?
I’d appreciate a response.
