Had a really enlightening moment during tonight's lit club meeting where I realized that every time I try to write horror, it just comes out sad instead. I'm good at using the aesthetic trappings and elements of horror, but the stories I write almost always turn out melancholy rather than scary.

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.

This is a fun question. If I had any say over it, it would be a display full of yuri and isekai light novels. Having worked in a major bookstore and knowing how they work, however, I already know the display would just be 26 copies of 'Ready Player One' and nothing else. God, that book annoys me.
I saw an interesting question recently on youtube: what would a display in a bookstore look like if it was specifically designed for fans of your book.
