In case you missed it in the devolving twitter hell scape, I've been writing a column about subcultures and hobbies—and trying them out myself—for the last year and a half. First, I went Irish dancing:

Has anyone been lap swimming at the Green Lake pool? How crowded is it in the evenings? The closest pool to me is out of commission so I must branch out but I don’t want to swim in a lane for 4 other people

Hearing reports from people on the ground about this incident in Minnesota, where tear gas and pepper spray were used against protesters who responded to an ICE-involved shooting.

Can confirm at least one clergymember, in a clerical collar, was among those pepper-sprayed.
ICE agents stopped by protesters after the shooting an observer in Minneapolis, according to witnesse. ICE deployed pepper spray and tear gas.

Absolutely horrific details about an ICE shooting in Minneapolis.

A witness says a woman was trying to drive away from an ICE operation and the ICE agent "reached across the hood of the car and shot her in the face like three, four times."

Bovino was there.

Nothing brings the hyper-local community together like a little cat. A few streets over from Lord Byron’s old stomping ground is the Central District’s new vagabond, Frito. His owner brought the neighborhood together last weekend:
