Reminder that if you're trans like me every day you're alive is a protest. If I keep making art that's a protest. My body and heart are broken many times over; I'm not gonna beat myself up about what extra I "could be doing" beyond the help I already give to others. Cis/abled folks can step tf up.
When you're a kid they constantly tell you to stop trying to do two things at once (at least that was my experience)...
And then when you're an adult they EXPECT you to be able to do more than 2 things at once, at all times. 🤔

The flip side of this, the reason I can be clickbaited so easily, is SOMETIMES they actually have new research info and it turns out I WAS wrong about that thing. 😅
Does anybody else grow weary of otherwise good video essays being titled things like "You're wrong about (thing)!" As clickbait? Because I click, thinking oh, what am I wrong about? Only for it to be like, a 101 level analysis of the topic and it turns out the author came to same conclusions I did.

What they don't understand is that art is already democratised. There is literally zero barrier to entry to start creating art, because there's a million and one mediums to work with. But the only 'art' they value or understand is soulless high-gloss computer renders.

Using genAI alienates you from everyone else. It doesn't democratize art, it atomizes it.

To a non-artist it doesn't seem like a hard problem. A non-artist who only wants to be seen as an artist, will use genAI instead of learning it.

The star-nosed mole (Condylura cristata) is an evolutionary wonder with "stars for eyes".
They're exceptional in so many ways: they're the fastest-eating mammals, they're just as comfortable in water as (under) the land, have exceptional nerve conduction & senses you don't have access to.
