People in the general public don’t realize yet that they are trading a finely crafted meal for a Rice cake made of styrofoam. It’s not just about us creatives losing jobs. Generative Exploitation is enshitifying every bit of media they consume.
AI dubs aren't just an attempt to replace voice actors. Engineering, mixing, writing, directing, and QC are also cut, narrowed down to a single prompter.
When I write dub scripts, it is an exercise in musicality, translation, and personal life experience. A prompter understands none of that.
