The ironic thing about Inglorious Basterds using how people count on their figures as a way to distinguish German from non-German is that I and a lot of other Americans started using the German way when we realized there was an alternative to the less comfortable or intuitive English way.

I frequently say you don't need to protest. You don't! There are a thousand other ways to push back on fascism if protesting doesn't feel comfortable or safe for you!

Based on her description of congenital feminine traits, it's possible she had the same intersex variation I have (presumed De La Chappelle or Klinefelter syndrome). It's a wild bit of representation (that no one's heard of).

The name "Operation Midway Blitz" appears to evoke the aesthetics of WWII without integrity or coherence. It's a callback to an idolized past, to Make America Great Again, but without the characteristics that supposedly make it great. The Battle of Midway and the London Blitz' names got remixed.
