I love the trope in fiction where a terrible person ends up getting amnesia, which causes them to become an entirely different person - specifically a *good* one - and is actively upset when they start remembering who they used to be.

It's almost as if some people *should* get amnesia...

Again, I *don't* give a shit how many in-universe explanations you can cite because, at the end of the day, it's creatives conceiving excuses for something incongruent in ways that can be countered by pointing out *other* things within the setting.

I find it annoying, when commenting on X-Men, is how quickly fandom will use Thermian Logic to "prove" that it makes sense that, in a world filled with a variety of superpowered people - some of whom are popular - for Mutants to *still* be an oppressed group.

I've already brought up the problems I have with the bigotry metaphor, as have others, so I'm going with my next big one: I think Mutants should exist in a tangent timeline separate from the 616, as the only superpowered people on the planet.
