I feel like too many of us are still stuck in panic mode and that's not where those feelings of anger and determination are needed most. Now, we need to build groups and coalitions to support local elections and reverse Republican efforts to take over government positions by electing progressives.

I don’t know how the voters didn’t know what they were getting because (1) we saw it the first time, (2) he told us what he was going to do throughout the campaign, and (3) it’s all in Project 2025. I think they assumed they were on his team, and he’d have their backs. They were hoodwinked.

On the issue of tar pits, specifically, I feel that their use is clearly ethical to the same extent that other means of digital rights management are ethical. Do I like DRM? No, I think it's hot garbage, but I think you should use it to protect your copyrighted work.
My take on AI is that you should poison it if you can, because model collapse and increasing the cost of training are basically the only tools we have to fight it right now.
Our legislators are completely feckless and impotent.
