I don't know much about the owners of Paramount or Netflix, but I routinely watch Netflix (and can't say the same about Paramount).

If you get your insurance through your job, it’s subsidized by the govt through ESI.

There’s no income cap, it helps the rich the most, and ~1/10 workers in those plans pays no premium.

But when the ACA subsidies help the middle class and provide some zero-subsidy plans? GOP can’t accept that.

every time I see an A-list actor in an ad for some slot machine phone game, I think about how Bill Murray's character in Lost in Translation doing advertisements is framed as basically the highest form of humiliation an actor could go through.

So my Oura 4 replacement ring arrived.

It came in a small padded envelope, no retail packaging so probably a refurb. It seems to be in very good condition and the battery is in much better shape than my previous ring, so I'm happy.

It's like the boot analogy. A poor man buys cheap new boots for $50 every 6 months. Rich guy buys high-quality boots 1x for $150 that last several years. If you have the money, you can save money. If you don't, you pay more in taxes for lesser goods. The poor don't get ahead.
