Finished reading @sarahgailey.bsky.social's Have You Eaten and I've never been closer to crawling back to my lesbian book club. I imagine it'll pass eventually but right now, unless someone is paying me, I only want to be around queer/trans people for the rest of my born days.

I lost custody of men's hockey (about which I was a huge nerd) in the NHL crashout of 2010 and it's just so nice to see everyone talking about men's hockey that isn't totally saturated in toxic masculinity: smutty gay novels, comics and Canadian HBO TV shows.

295 pages on how to conduct yourself to not offend or irritate anyone anywhere ever. In 2025, I don't think any of us would survive half an hour with Sophie without getting the cut direct, but I bet that was also true in 1932.

Mildly confused by the six movies meme. I've seen movies I only kinda like six times. The movies I actually love I've watched once or twice a month for years. There aren't any good Persuasion (1995) gifs, regardless.

There are fewer of us every day, but there are still people out here being delightful for free.
As more people reserve delight for the deserving, things will get more dire. The dearth of delight is worse than seasonal affective disorder.

My wife was an only child. This album is 50 years old and still has her childhood address label on it. Listening to it tonight, it sounds brand new. My younger sister had a sleepover in 1987 and she and her punk friends threw my records at our bedroom walls in order to destroy my posters.
