This country desperately needs more politicians like Gough, and more journalists like Amy.

Whitlam’s legacy is one of possibility and hope. He showed us what a brave, grown up Australia could look like.
Whitlam showed us what a brave, grown up Australia could look like. And 50 years later, you have to wonder – is it even possible to make Australia brave again?

No other word has done more damage to the craft of writing in recent years than “content”. Even if you’re using the word “content” ironically, or as a cute little joke, don’t. Liberal Party Senator Jane Hume says she should have sprung mandatory "return to office" requirements on the public service AFTER being re-elected.
This would be consistent with the party's usual approach of keeping unpopular policies secret until Australians are unable to stop them.

Gough Whitlam towers above any other Australian leader
Why?
He was brave, & committed to serving the Australian people. He would not cave to lobbyists, corporations, media owners, & foreign powers & he paid the price
No politician in Australia is fit to shine Gough’s shoes
Amy Remeikis gets it..
