Cool shit I've achieved in recent months:
- Interviewed by MCV/DEVELOP.
- Published in Lock-On 004.
- Shipped Phantom Spark.
- Acquired two beautiful coconut raccoons.
A photograph of an article in magazine MCV/DEVELOP's "Levelling Up" section in which the poster is interviewed. A photograph of the article "Death by Design" in LOCK-ON 004, written by the poster. The piece is accompanied by original artwork by Max58 depicting Solaire of Astora from the Dark Souls series. Key art from the time-trial racing game "Phantom Spark". A photograph of the poster's two British shorthairs laying side-by-side with a sleepy expression on their faces.
Y'know that meme of the spider trying to make a cobweb while under the influence of various substances? That's how my brain and its resulting output feels these days when trying to accomplish any simple task. I have caffeine web brain.
Six spiderwebs of varying quality, with labels indicating the influences affecting them (Normal, LSD, Marijuana, Sleeping Pills, Caffeine, Benzedrine). Every web other than the "Normal" one appears incomplete in some way.
Found a cool subreddit called r/BooksThatFeelLikeThis where users post a bunch of images evoking the kind of vibe they're looking for, and then people share recommendations with a similar atmosphere.

I’m experiencing some major Mandela Effect right now!
Did anybody else think it was called this already or…?
Apple TV+ has rebranded to Apple TV

It's their 'vibrant new identity'
33 next month - funnily enough, it was around 30 that I started to really notice these feelings bubbling up. I think society/culture is definitely a huge part of it - everything is designed to be consumed and shared and tracked. News, entertainment, even day-to-day stuff. Living becomes work!
Yeah, the need to listen to my body is something I've become super conscious of this year. Part of me wonders if it's something that comes with age too, having less capacity for being a relentless Media Consumption Machine.
I've been reading a lot instead, and I've also been spending more time outside, just wandering, or exercising, or even just...being. Slowing down, stopping, smelling the roses. For whatever reason, my wheels have really come off this year. I am *exhausted* and gaming feels too cognitively demanding.
Death Stranding 2: bounced off
Donkey Kong Bananza: bounced off
Hades 2: bounced off
Silent Hill f & Ghost of Yotei: didn't even purchase

I'm kinda going through something with games at the moment. I need a break. I'm overstimulated by overconsumption.
Very much enjoyed the pilot episode of Critical Role's new season. That said, are we really going to have to listen to Matt Mercer's terrible Scottish accent for an entire campaign? It's giving Mrs Doubtfire meets Braveheart.
Oh 100%, it’s something I’ve found oddly thrilling too. Makes me feel alive!
Oof. I count myself lucky every time I fall cleanly and don’t, y’know, smash my teeth in or something. For the most part my landings have been pretty clean but then I’m just taking my first tentative steps into tricks now…
I haven’t tried a manual in motion since I last tried it skating on a slight descent and the board slipped out from under me and I hit the deck fast 🤦‍♂️ I suspect the key is to lean forward and control the balance via your front foot so failure simply means returning the board to neutral?

I was practicing my rail balance and accidentally landed a trick 💀

I feel like the human mind just isn’t built to last that long. There’s only so much we can go through. Choosing eternity would be like choosing insanity, and the portion of your life in which you were sane would be like the blink of an eye in comparison. Grant me the sweet release of death please 🙏
Generations Z and Alpha turn desperately towards their millennial compatriots in the corner, searching their faces for any sign of hope.

The elders chuckle ominously: “First time?”
Knobel Peace Prize.
“I’ll declare war on you if you don’t give me the peace prize” is an incredible bit
Huh. I just figured it was because of its hypnotic appearance, and the cover's implication that kids were being lured into some kind of spell. The more you know!
