It's very similar to your problem area, except this stays green a long time because it's in a wetter area under the eaves that never gets sun on the north side. It's a miserable, hateful grass and I wish it to be gone lol.

Also need to figure out what this is and kill it off. It's a thick, hateful grass the forms a mat and is barely mowable, just folds over and swirls. Only grows in full shade.

Anybody got deep knowledge of grass?
Dethatched my lawn and going to overseed but I don't want to use a mixed seed and get some goofy blend. Thinking about trying tall fescue seed? Area is full sun most of the year, pretty compacted, and well drained. Growing zone 6A
