Economic governance has been abdicated through deregulation for many years now. Government barely have a finger on the wheel, their only role is managing the decline. Reform's offer is basically to strip the copper out the walls. No-one bar the Greens are talking about what the real problem is.

Polanski's rise in popularity is based on one simple thing. He's the only party leader talking about what is genuinely at the root of the nation's misery. It's not immigrants, it's super-wealth.

Everyone else is seen as hopelessly compromised on that topic, because they generally are.

“Here Farage is, in Gill’s office, with Voloshyn’s wife Nadia, on the day Gill makes an intervention on behalf of Medvedchuk’s channels, with an employee of one of those channels, whose husband started bribing Gill to make these statements 6 days earlier”

Consumer-facing "A.i." fucking sucks and you're embarrassing yourself if you pass it off for your actual thoughts.

“The humans won hands down when it came to notes, which require actual analysis rather than just distillation. The AI programs were ‘an almost total fail across the board.’”

Nice to know I wouldn’t have been so easily replaced at my old job by an A.I.

The use of AI to marionette a woman whose tortured existence was spent trying to carve her own life and identity out of the space men forced her into is both damningly macabre and a surprisingly perfect encapsulation of the problems with this ghoulish use of technology.

A Level English Language.

Sigh. More no-evidence-based policy-making.

It will be IQ next and a million in the bank.

Just say we are closed and want to get on with completely counter-productive self-harm while we find the next scapegoats for our entirely avoidable misery

Happy 6-month anniversary to our cover reveal! Lots of lovely responses to this first volume have been coming in - love to see it! Volumes 2 and 3 will be appearing throughout next year, but for now, hope you're enjoying the first half of Thunderbirds' spectacular run from TV Century 21!

There no way you can buy this coat and not end up squaring off with The Avengers at some point. And that's not a diss.

"Nathan Gill isn’t some postscript to a minor episode of recent British history. He’s a key to understanding the scale and sophistication of the threat against us, a network of pro-Russian actors that stretches not only across the Atlantic but Europe too."

Why, even now, is no-one asking questions?

In the before times, we did incredible things. Remember where other people lived, drive cars, we could all name up to three kinds of goose. Make sausages from scratch.*

*I think this is actually a reasonable enough question. I still have an old school address book and used to carry a notebook.

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

I played Closing Time to my nephew the other week there. It occurred to me that if anyone else wrote, "I Hope That I Don’t Fall in Love With You" it'd be their masterpiece. I doubt many Waits fans have it in their top ten. He's like the Reeves Superman of singer/songwriters, ultimately a friend.
