The Legend of the Bell Witch is hailed as one of America’s most haunted stories where a Tennessee pioneer family was taunted between 1817 & 1821. The story of John Bell includes sightings of strange animals with “the body of a dog and the head of a rabbit” out in the cornfields. #WyrdWednesday

In the African-American folk traditions of the American South, a "conjure man" or "conjure woman" is a professional sorcerer. They would live outside the community, often in the swamp. Though feared, conjure folk would be consulted for various magical services.

Folklore connects hares and bluebells, particularly in Scottish and Irish myths, where the flowers are called harebells. Witches were believed to use the flowers' sap to transform into hares, and then hide among the blooms.

I blame the parents. No matter what you are told by the gov’t, you still have the knowledge to do the right thing for your children & that includes minimizing the spread of diseases.
