Whenever I get really depressed, I get an urge to replay Deus Ex or one of the mods of it. Not a whole lot of games, in my mind, that manages to hit that specific style well. (trust me I know about other immsims and adore games like Prey)

A close family member's cancer might have returned. We don't know yet. I'd been worried about it for a while because they kept getting sick. I really hope it isn't, but expecting the worst. Awaiting xrays.

I'm starting to forget the face of someone who cared for me as a child, I realize. They were full of love and support for me and always sacrificed so much for everyone they loved, but I wasn't there for them at the end. I'm fairly sure I'm going to face a similar last few moments.

it's wild to me that we have a letter from 850+ rabbis denouncing zohran mamdani for things he never said and positions he never took while no such letter has been written condemning stephen miller for claiming to "defend jewish values" while being an utter fucking nazi and dismantling our democracy

Having moved to Linux more or less completely, it feels SO GOOD not have a bunch of AI shit shoved in my face on a daily basis. I still need to tweak it more, but at least I won't have to deal with all that junk.
