You are all amazing! I am glad to have the opportunity to appreciate my gratitude ahead of time, and will also make sure to do it afterwards as well, but gratitude is a good thing, and I wanted to make sure to send it your way as well, Erin! 💜

I am a firm believer in restorative justice, BUT when it comes to crimes against humanity, to jail with you. Jail for a thousand years.
ICE agents belong in jail for "following orders," and every administrator in our current administration deserves life in jail or worse.

Today's a great day to celebrate the work of Indigenous explorers!
I recently learned about Gadiel Sánchez Rivera, a Peruvian environmental activist who joined expeditions that included walking the full length of the Amazon River and kayaking Lake Titicaca to survey for endangered frogs.

Wrote about my biggest childhood fear for @gnofhorror.com! Plus: the all-too-permeable barrier of the human body, the beautiful dawn of air fryers, the rudest thing I’ve done with a shoe, and why I don’t want to get in that hot tub with you.

MA Creative Writing programs that alienate and bully speculative fiction author students are part of the reason our country is so messed up right now, and it’s beyond time they examine the white supremacy and white privilege history of “literary fiction.”

Nobody asked me for an acceptance speech, but I have one anyway, because what the heck; because I respect the thankless work the @theignyteawards.bsky.social does each year; because I'm glad for good trouble; because I'm honoured to be honoured.

I would really REALLLY *profoundly* like to throw bricks at whoever is doing this with deceased people in particular like Monroe but also Robin Williams, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and anyone else. I can't think of a word to describe how wrong it is.

Also on a tech level like

This still looks like Emilia clarke more than Marilyn

It’s ghoulish, nasty work, and then on top of that it relies more of you having seen Marilyn’s name to cover up for the bad facial manipulation
disabilitystor1.bsky.social
I don't know how many times to point out that is absolutely ghoulish and non-consensual and disgusting behavior.
To exploit the image of a dead woman who was also exploited in real life so you can live out your momentary fantasies of "what is possible" with AI is bad science journalism, also.
Sick.

Marilyn Monroe in Game of Thrones? AI Could Make It Happen Soon

Despite early, and familiar, copyright growing pains, Sora may be the prelude to AI-generated on-demand TV and movies

Screenshot includes an AI generated image of what looks like a human cross between Daenaerys Targaryen and Marilyn Monroe on the back of a dragon.

I have to say, that *knock on wood* that having escaped from the Bad Place and choosing to leave it behind because of all the horrible nonsense, DESPITE all the good that I acknowledge it helped with at a specific time, has made vast improvements in me being able to avoid the never-ending feuds
