It would be a lot easier to believe calls for everyone in indie animation to not trash talk eachother, if I couldn’t literally see how the people who make Monkey Wrench, FarFetched and Lackadaisy treat Hazbin and Helluva Boss

Lilith’s so interesting cuz she’s a good mom & ruler, yet it’s hinted she strained Charlie & Lu’s relationship + ignored calls. My guess is, like Lu with sinners, she hates angels & wanted Lu to stop showing Charlie his angelic side. It’d definitely make their split more interesting/less one-sided

Vaggi doesn’t seem to take her devotion to Charlie to outright unhealthy levels most of the time. That she went behind Charlie’s back, defended her choice, AND openly called her out on not listening shows that Vaggi’s not cripplingly codependent and CAN think for herself beyond her love interest.

There's something very rotten about this cynical culture of one-upmanship among online artists if it's making those who just innocently do their own spin worried about being associated with them, in large part due to comments "praising" them as superior to the source material.
