I think a good litmus test for whether or not you need to reevaluate how you see male/female characters is how you feel about Alastor & Charlie. If you think Alastor being mean to Vox is slay 💅 but Charlie unintentionally hurting Angel, Vaggie & Lu is bad, maybe there’s something to unpack there 🫤

Neither Charlie nor Vaggie SAW Lucifer in pain in those shots when the weapon was going into overdrive. He’d just crawled out of the hole and immediately started making light of the situation. That reads to me as him not WANTING to let them know he’s in trouble.

Yeaaah, this stuff isn’t about social justice or about respecting marginalized identities.
This is people weaponizing a marginalized identity to try and erase historical fact. And over what, an unhinged obsession with “owning” a cartoon and its creator?

You know when I made this post I wasn’t trying to “speak over people” I’m litterly just sharing historical facts. I don’t appreciate people going on tik tok or Twitter screenshotting this and saying I’m erasing history. I know not everything was perfect I litterly start the most saying this.

You’re right, but also wrong! There were clubs in the 1920 that did do this they were called “Black and Tan Club” they were clubs that welcomed all races despite segregation laws.

I think I will discard the 'Sinner needs to die to get ascended to Heaven' for now.
I will hc that Pentious was poofed into Heaven right before he was hit because he had no way out of that decision anymore.

LRT, It's been my theory for some time that, while Lucifer is resigned to his punishment, Lilith never stopped resenting Heaven and never forgave them for what they did to her and her husband. That's where Vox (mis)interpreted her wishes as wanting to conquer Heaven, and maybe he wasn't the first.

(4)I know people want emotional catharsis now but we're still building tension. I fully believe Lucifer laughing off his pain, the conflicts between him and Charlie, and her warped perception of her parents, is going to be a major plot point next season. We just have to let it all simmer

While I understand why some people wanted some sort of closure to the father daughter conflict, I actually love that we didn't get it, since it will feel soooo much more satisfying with proper build up. And everything that happened between them this past season feels like part of that (1)

Would I have loved a sweet moment where Charlie checked on her dad? Yes, of course!
But I also know that
1. There was a LOT going on, including her seeing her friend who she thought was dead
2. Charlie absolutely still has the mindset of her parents being superheroes
3. IRL strictly limited runtime
