On a light purple background is a centered book cover in very dark purple with gold silhouettes of the masc and fem version of a regency era person. The book is titled The Lady and The List. Around the cover is a list of tropes: he falls first, open door, slow burn, friends to lovers, queer romance, fake courtship. The top says 'Now Available ' and the bottom text reads: when Gregory Fletcher agrees to pen the revival of the infamous Harris' List of Covent Garden Ladies, he never imagined he would accidentally write a not so ambiguous entry about his childhood friend, Henrietta Crofton. Henrietta, begrudgingly attending her first London season, has no idea why so many men are trying to court her. But she's busy trying to conceal from the 'Ton that some days, she's a man.
Just got an update on my commission of Edmund and Theo from The Gossip and The Guest. I'm chomping at the bit for it to be ready to show you all! They're my first MM pairing and they couldn't be cuter!
They'll be shared around 11-15, but newsletter will see it 1st! 👇🏻

I also got this stunning sibling portrait of Kabil and Louisa Hardwick, the other mcs in Isabella's story.

Book 2 coming soon 👀 (like, November?)

A portrait of two people, a woman seated on the left in a red regency style gown with upswept dark hair, and a man on the right. He's heavier, wearing a regency style suit with long dark curly hair. Both people have dark eyes and brown skin (they are half white, half indigenous to what is now Mexico).
Wow 😍 I liked this a lot as a sketch but I LOVE those colors together!!

Might fuck around and publish a second book this year. I've been looking at beta reader feedback for The Gossip and The Guest and I'm just too excited to share Isabella and Edmund's stories!
Book two in The Steer Queer Series possibly coming very soon 👀 📚💙

Now there's a Disabled & Neurodiverse Book Feed (bsky.app/profile/did:...)
I'd better repost this -for its final 12 hours- with the emojis that place it on that feed 😉. 📚🧠
Everyone should get to see themself in fiction. But I often can't find as much neurodiverse rep as I'd like, especially in SFF.

So for ADHD Awareness Month, I've gathered 22 mainly ADHD authors & their fantasy/ other books with main/significant ADHD chars in this bundle

To stop myself from commissioning more art (portfolio day is killing me!) allow me to show you some I have. This is Isabella Marshton, one of the mcs in book 2 of The Steer Queer Series, The Gossip and The Guest (coming soon!)

A young woman with honey blond hair sits facing the audience in a portrait. She is wearing a white regency dress with small flowers and pink piping. Her features are cute and she is... Bustier than average.
Saw that in my head like those slowmo tiktoks, meaning there was a very artistic closeup of a pile of moss in my head. Surprisingly grounding
Does anyone truly self-publish if you didn't stare into the eyes of an ambiguous formatting issue, listening to its increasing whispers that if the computer went out the window, the errors would go away?
I once read Dracula on my old ass kindle by candlelight due to a power outage 😅
If I had never tried reading the Hobbit to someone, I'd be more inclined to agree but after the third song in one session I was tapped 😅

It's time again as a notable Italian-American to note Christopher Columbus was an absolute piece of shit human who didn't land anywhere near this actual country so why the fuck should he stop the mail for the whole day

Anyway, Happy Indigenous People's Day, y'all
If you want to read about a pathetic little bi man who fucks up big time and misses every opportunity to come clean until AFTER he kisses the other MC, consider picking up a copy of The Lady and The List

A commission of a woman with long, brown wavy hair. Her two cats are beside her: one is an orange cat and the other is a grey tabby. There are colorful stars floating around them. Commission of two D&D characters: one drow and one dhampir. The drow has wavy silver hair, grayish-purple skin, freckles and a scar across her nose. She’s wearing a purple shirt and black pants. The dhampir has pale blonde hair, waist-length and tied back in a ponytail with a black ribbon. She’s dressed in brown trousers and a green shirt, and her bag has little mushrooms growing out of it. They’re placing small flowers in each other’s hair. Commission of an Aasimar: a black man with purple eyes and glasses. He has small wings on his ears, and his hair resembles clouds. He wears robes in shades of purple, blue and pink and he’s holding a book with pages floating around him. Commission of a small, fluffy white dog with brown spots. It’s wearing orange butterfly wings and is surrounded by monstera leaves, hydrangeas and crocus flowers. The background is a light lilac.
There's something so odd about editing a spicy scene I wrote. Like an out of body experience, almost? Twice removed? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Anyway, I gotta get back to watching these people I invented fuck and ensure that they're only doing things human body's are capable of

The framing of the photo also has such vivid Tumblr energy to me. I KNOW this will be auto populating in my brain when reading sentences like "brows drawn down in consternation" 😅
It's pretty early in the day, but I'm confident that this will be the funniest thing I see today 😂

Made a graphic, hate it

But I do LOVE this art of Henry I commissioned from the endlessly talented @lyannatropes.bsky.social ! She was so easy to work with and brought my antisocial MC to life!

A black background with an illustration of a Caucasian person in a cream regency style gown. This person has dark hair and the shoulders of the gown are purple and maroon layers. The bottom right corner houses an ornate gold frame with the dark purple book cover of The Lady and The List inside. The texts reads: About me
I'm Miss Henrietta Crofton, but my friends call me Henry
I can be a little standoffish and I've never been to London before
Oh, and the other thing you should know about me? Some days, I'm a man
Henry, sent to London for a season she doesn't want, navigates the return of an old friend and the prying eyes of the 'Ton as she tries to express who she really is
Absolutely valid. Every time I reread it I find myself weirdly more appreciative of Sir Thomas and then I have to sit and stare at the corner, wondering what's wrong with me
You should check if they're ladybugs or the invasive Asian ladybeetle. Ladybeetle's can bite, apparently, and culling them is a good thing (if you aren't morally opposed)
I just read some beta feedback on The Gossip and The Guest and it was very insightful, definitely gave me some things to chew on, but also so nice?? Like I feel like I have to run around the block or something, I'm just... Giddy?
