A discussion elsewhere makes me want to talk about "Hope Echoes" in Three Left Turns to Nowhere. It’s a YA novella featuring Fielding Roy, who is trying to get to a nerdy SF convention in Toronto but gets stuck in Hopewell Ontario on the way.

Fielding is a gay dude. The plot isn’t that. #BookSky

The Schwules Museum closes an exhibition about Emma Trosse who published groundbreaking work on female homosexuality, asexuality and making the case for LGBTQIA+ equality in the 1890s. Her work should be better known but it was censored and banned.
