In the arcade Taito's Puzznic was a bit... saucy. The home versions don't offer views of stripping women in exchange for solving puzzles where you bring symbols together, but it does have other Taito characters!

Happy 40th birthday to the Sega Mark III! The console that would be redesigned as the Master System and then brought back into Japan and re-released with that design.

Here in 1985, though, we have this cream slab promising real arcade action in the home and going toe-to-toe with the Famicom.

In MM1, there some odd pixels where you can wiggle and various effects happen, notably credits warp with super specific setups. Most often the game just resets but you can get lots of different things to spawn in, like one of my favorites, the Yellow Devil. Make a savestate and see what you can get.

i love @zackzwiezen.com reporting. this reminds me of something @matpiscatella.bsky.social told me once about how there's still like single digit numbers of copies of games like Chrono Cross or w/e sold regularly because some retailer finds them in a back room somewhere.
