I suppose, in principal, there's a number of billionaires who could spend about 40 billion as a political favor to Trump to keep the military non mutinous for a few months, but... um... most of them have the concept of ROI burned deeply into their brains.

So, out of the 800 billion dollars that the US spends on the military, about 600 is pay and veteran benefits. Focusing exclusively on active military personel brings that down to 200 billion.

The next token prediction is limited by the simple fact that it only answers the question "what is the model trying to *do*" not how it accomplishes it.

You could likewise train a person or monkey in a box via the same mechanism that we use to train LLMs, but we do care quite a bit of impl. details

But let’s be honest; linear algebra taught in high schools would end up focusing on computing dot products and solving linear algebra with determinants taught divorced from context.
