It was pretty telling that a Seattle Times column about tech salaries included a median income chart that had "law enforcement officer" at the third-highest income—and that includes all law enforcement jobs (not just police) and does not reflect the latest large raises for cops.

I don't care if a non-disabled person accesses a disability accommodation for the same reason I don't care if a child whose parents are rich gets free lunch at school. We don't need to means test being a kind person. I have better things to do with my time than be a cop over social services.

and now more kids have long covid than asthma—and the number of people disabled by covid is only going to keep increasing, even if deaths aren’t quite as prominent anymore, because we’re letting infectious disease run rampant.
The end of COVID relief and the fact that we changed nothing—no new workplace safety rules, no single-payer, etc.—after over 1 million Americans died represents probably the greatest political scandal of the last 100 years.

I’m am super anti ai but I’m also rational and I realize that people are gonna fuck up and use it. what’s important to me most is that they see how fucked up and wrong it is and stop. I can’t control what’s been done but I can allow people to learn and grow.
