time for an introduction!

I'm Hazy but you can also call me Dusk. I'm an artist who really loves to create stylized digital paintings of characters. I draw quite a bit of fan art, particularly video game fan art, but I also draw original characters! nice to meet you all!

This is pretty close to what we're asking for in terms of device-level parental controls and leaving the internet alone. It doesn't require ID or other sensitive info uploads, it's a parent inputting their child's birthdate in the phone upon setup

AB 1043 does not apply to websites, meaning the technology is not currently available to adult sites who wish to block minors. While there is inherent privacy risk in all AV solutions, device-based solutions are more privacy preserving than the platform-based verification mandated in other states.

California just became the latest state to require device-level age verification. Under AB 1043, users must verify their age when setting up a phone or downloading apps, forcing Apple & Google to build age-check systems into devices.

little known fact, but Struzan did the Spyro: A Hero's Tail coverart for whatever reason. It is the *only* cover art he painted for a (non movie IP tie-in) videogame

gaming on Linux is wild. lots and lots of googling to get stuff to work and constantly taking notes on which Proton version is the best for each game

for example, Proton 9 will make C;HN run super fast unless you launch it with a command or limit the framerate in some way

also since I'm reading C;HN on Linux (Mint) I ran into a rather amusing bug after credits. this is purely visual. a new CoZ patch released a few days ago but I didn't really feel like installing it and I noticed in the patch notes that it fixes a broken system message, wonder if it's this one

I didn't realize how excited switching to Linux made me for using computers again. I didn't realize just how much customization Microsoft had taken away with each new Windows version

really excited for the coming years. really hoping more games will require less tinkering to get working

Linux is a nice way to give the corporate a middle finger but don't shame people who opt for W11. they simply may not have another choice

you're gonna have to open the terminal quite a bit. Linux's folder structure is different from Windows'. you may have to tinker with some stuff to get it working. you may still be bound by programs that don't run on Linux

even though Wine and other stuff has gotten way better, Valve have made it much easier to play Windows games on Linux and the NVidia drivers are being looked into to optimize so the GPUs aren't kneecapped in Linux, using Linux requires you to change your habits

just wanna say that even though I've been singing a lot of praises for Linux and you may see other people switching to Linux

hopping to Linux is absolutely not going to be for everyone. Linux is not Windows

A vicious Digimon that lives deep in the jungle. The petals around its neck serve as a warning to any foes, but if they don't work it will spit corrosive venom that eats away at their data (Vile Venom).

The user's fan Digimon design Dilophomon.
It resembles a mix between the Jurassic Park depiction of a Dilophosaurus and a plant, mainly green with accents of purple and yellow.
Its body is covered in veins like a leaf's, with leaves growing from its tail, elbows and one from the top of its head. Its underbelly, biceps and feet are a slightly lighter green, and it has purple stripes on its shoulders, thighs and face. One over each eye, one on each nose crest. It's roaring, showing many sharp teeth, and spitting purple poison. Its cheeks are lined with four large petals each, starting dark green with a yellow inner oval but transitioning to a vibrant purple and ending in a yellow edge.
It wears brown leather wrapping and gloves on its hands and feet.
