I've made it a personal goal to stop using the term "content" when referring to media made by artists. The word implies mass-produced filler and calling someone's hard work their "content" has started to feel kinda like an insult. Like human art made strictly for quick consumption
the enthusiasm for generative AI would not have been possible without prior decades of capitalist conditioning to view works of art as products, rather than acts of culture and shared human life
I think the fundamental gap here is that non-creative people think that creative people make things for the end product, when in fact it’s the act of creation and not the end point that makes it worthwhile.

In general, it will strongly benefit you to experience art the "wrong" way from time to time. Watch a sequel first, read the funky scanlation, play the shitty port. See what you get out if it, and how that differs from what people normally get out of it.

you know how there's sometimes a bit of context missing from haunt genre games where someone's played the games they're replicating, but is lacking the influences that gave them their tone? you see that a lot in retro 3d rpgs, where you feel the absence of roguelikes, sword&sorcery, and gamebooks

Hello, I know it's tough time of year for everyone financially, but I need to ask for a little help. I was sick with the flu for a week and missed a significant amount of work. I don't get sick pay at my job. I've managed to make rent, but I need to be able to buy groceries and pay some bills.
