Best of luck!

I have 11 months, and I'm certain I'll fail. I think I'm fine with that. I checked off a couple of big ones...
So cool that you can be summarily executed by a foreign military for being 'suspected' of stuff. Stuff that doesn't even come with a death sentence when convicted in that foreign country.
U.S. Military Kills Another 6 People in 5th Caribbean Strike, Trump Says

In a social media post, the president said the people aboard a boat were "suspected of smuggling drugs for an unspecified group" his team had labeled "terrorists".
The real shame is that much like VHS vs. Betamax, the world has standardized on inferior technology that is not fit for purpose.

But hey, maybe write some sternly-worded letters to CompuServe about tacking on metadata. Maybe they'll put some lipstick on that pig.
It shouldn't be necessary to coerce all media types to use EXIF. Every media container (except GIF, apparently) has an analogous metadata field that can be used for a description. It's up to the app creators to check and use these fields for the media types they support. It's trivial to implement.
EXIF data already has a built-in field for 'description' that you can use for this.

The hard part is convincing authors of every app that exists to check if this field has a value and, if so, use it.

Actually kind of remarkable that they don't...
The Mr. Mikes reboot has been around in various locations for a decade now. The Mike burger is as good as I remember, served on those long-cut falones, but they don't have the salad bar anymore.
Who knows with this dipshit, but I read it as new trucks manufactured in other countries, not freight the trucks carry.
It says I have to 'request edit access'. Tired of your fucking rules, man! Also, pls approve my edit request.

Today's the day! Hope to see you at City Farmer in Vancouver this afternoon, October 4 from 1-3 pm. I'll bee selling books for $30 each and of course, I'd bee happy to sign them for you!
The markets literally run on vibes. Usually, the vibes would be informed by the indicators you mention, but nothing makes sense anymore.

Presumably, many with large capital in the markets are happy with how things are going, and many more have their heads in the sand.
Old white guys love conservatives dressed in Liberal clothes. You can still fuck the poor, but feel good about yourself.
Lovely birds with an awful name 🤣
Hi Greg. Thank you!

Since I posted this I've added full Unicode support to the few string functions that are implemented so far. I push to the repo several times a day, so always pull before building to get the latest. Here's the link:

I seem to recall it was already shabby when I photographed it and everything else on the heritage register in 2008ish. Rinse, lather, repeat. If nothing changes, Edmonton will have nothing older than 50s strip malls.
Brutal. Glad I got pics when I lived there.
Oh, who knows. I'm not even sure they show them chronologically. Mine may be closer to the top because I'm a 'level 8' contributor, haha.
Six Mile Pub in Victoria just responded to a (complimentary) google review I left there about 8-9 years ago haha. Said they'd love to hear more about our experience. Honestly, other than eating there once, I don't recall much.
I gather I have not many coder followers, and likely even fewer interested in Scheme, but I could use some feedback/testers. Hit me up if interested. I've personally tested on macOS, Linux, and BSD. I would welcome a pull-request to get it running on Windows (should not be hard, but I can't test).
It does not yet have ports or continuations implemented, and many of the scheme base procedures are still missing, but it's pretty functional otherwise. The README enumerates what has been finished. Also, it does not yet read and execute source files, just a REPL for now).
I've been hacking on this fairly regular, and at 7000+ LoC it is turning from a toy-lisp into a full-blown R7RS Scheme implementation. It has garbage collection, full 'numeric tower' implementation, lists, vectors and bytevectors, partial Unicode support (chars but not yet strings).

#scheme #lisp
Yesterday morning I started writing a Scheme-flavoured Lisp implementation from scratch. Just now, after 1050 lines of cryptic C code (I never want to type 'l_val' again), I have a REPL that is able to correctly do basic arithmetic 😆
Very sad. I did not have the chance to meet him, but he was clearly a great guy based on online interactions.
How curious. Crawled down through a hallowed stem?
Haha, yes. It can be a real psychological barrier for some, as they want to tidy their gardens in preparation for winter. It is much better for bees (and all sorts of pollinators and other bugs) to leave it 'messy' until the spring.
