Prince did warn us.... #music #musicsky #wisdom

Full text in Alt
One thing I wanted to say is, don’t be fooled by the internet. It’s cool to get on the computer, but don’t let the computer get on you. It’s cool to use the computer, don’t let the computer use you. Y’all saw The Matrix. There’s a war going on. The battlefield’s in the mind. And the prize is the soul. So just be careful. Be very careful

On this day in 1977, David Bowie released "Heroes."
Two chords. One mic. A kiss by the Berlin Wall.
A song that made us believe we could be anything for just one day — and that was enough.

I've never seen leaves turn colour in this pattern before.
Unfortunately the sunlight was mostly gone from this side of the street #vancouver
Autumn leaves with an odd pattern of turning red from the outside and moving toward the still green center Autumn leaves with an odd pattern of turning red from the outside and moving toward the still green center. It's almost a tropical colouring, but in the rainforest Same leaves with a bit of sunlight hitting them

The staff masking at stores is our best bellweather indicator that a lot of people are sick. If the front line folks are masking it's because they can't afford to not work and it's the only protection they have. We follow their lead

Microplastics are released from plastic when exposed to heat, including leaching from tea bags into hot tea and plastic containers releasing nanoplastics when microwaved. While health effects are still unclear, minimizing heating plastic is a simple way to reduce exposure.
Microplastics are everywhere. You can do one simple thing to avoid them.
The biggest sources of microplastics have one thing in common: Heat.

Someone left a rack full of inflatable costumes near the ICE building in Portland.

I love this town.

This is a wonderful thread that explains how & why Portland is Like This.

#flowers or #gardening question I hope someone can help with?

I rescued this little pot left in an alley and I don't know that it is, indoor, outdoor - these beautiful little red blooms appeared after a few days inside. It looks like it might be a climber ? Thanks for any help!
