I think this is right. It’s like when a family has decided to tolerate an abusive drunk. They know what he’s like and they’ve priced it into their decisions and they don’t want to hear you talk about it.
Yes, Fox makes people dumber, but I think many of you underestimate how many Trump supporters go to Fox because they already know he’s terrible and they don’t want to hear about it
For my own edification, I started watching Fox News. Their audience has no clue about any of Trump's failings. Any thing negative will not be reported, or if it is, it'll be cast as a false accusation made by evil Dems.

I know several Ivy League graduates who fell for the narrative. It's nuts.

The problem is a dearth of serifs, not capitalization.

Also, while Sgt. Al Powell is an exemplary Al, the one true Al is Weird.
Petition to stop capitalizing the "i" in "AI" and just call it "Ai". When you capitalize it, it just looks like some guy named "AL". OpenAL. GenerativeAL. No. It ends now. There is only one Al, and it's Sgt. Al Powell.

We spend a lot of time talking about domestic terrorism and groups are consistently ignored by the mainstream and I’d like to present you with the most under-the-radar domestic terrorists that exist and call for them to finally be brought to justice:

So love wobbegongs. Everything is good about the wobbegong. Its name. Its flattened Oscar the Grouch face. Its frondy bits. Its lazy life as a hungry rug. And it’s a shark. Outstanding animal 10/10
The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

I like to imagine whether it will be werewolves, vampires, or zombies that get me (sprinkle in some rabid, stray dogs and cougars for seasoning).

For me, the real trash trauma was from when I was 5 and a shrew shrieked at me when I lifted the lid.
I am a grown-ass man and a scientist and a critical thinker and it still creeps me out a little bit when I take the trash out in the dark after watching a horror movie

Right. It's the "public" that needs to do something. Or maybe, Rand, as you're a sitting US senator, YOU can do something about it, since it's, you know, part of your fucking job.
Rand Paul tells me that he wants the full video of the Venezuelan boat strike released.

“And I think if the public sees images of people clinging to boat debris and being blown up, I think that there is a chance that finally, the public will get interested enough in this to stop this.”

this is my #1 advice to grad students: anyone can reproduce jargon; the bigger flex is being able to make the argument in straightforward prose. clarity is indicative of deep thought and engagement. even chatGPT can write word salad.
i strongly, strongly believe that good writing is downstream of clear thinking and a strong understanding of the subject matter at hand. without fail, tortured writing comes from writers who don’t know and can’t think clearly about anything.
Oh man! This paragraph is brutal. The best thing about this review is it's not trying to be mean. It's just listing how bad the writing is.

And then it was unveiled and we were all like, "it's... a scooter?"
Younger people who didn't witness it cannot fathom the hype around the Segway. Every news station agreed it would revolutionize the entire social fabric of the Earth. That all future humans would divide history between the savage days of the past, and the soon to be new era of zoom zoom scoot scoot.
