I am so old I can remember when you could set your watch to Scherzer giving up a 1st inning homer of an important game.

He's changed www.yurasko.net/wfy/2021/04/...
Tonight we'll learn if Scherzer still has enough this late in his career to get so amped up he overthrows his fastball so much it flattens out and lands 400 feet away
My use case - mostly browser-based, though I will want to do some go pro video editing (can't on my current brick) and a little bit of photo/graphic editing

Continuing the blog's resurgence based on bicycling content, here is a post about "From Rails to Trails"

I attended the premier of this new documentary last month at the MLK library thanks to @mountvernontrail.org giving a heads up. You can watch it on PBS www.yurasko.net/wfy/2025/10/...
Watch "From Rails to Trails" documentary on PBS - William F. Yurasko
"From Rails to Trails" is available on pbs.org for a limited time. The documentary tells the story of turning old railroads to bike trails.

Reducing barriers to transit use induces people to use transit more is one of those things that has to be explained to politicians over and over like they are in incoming class of preschoolers.
“For participants who regularly used a fare card to pay, half-price discounts doubled their trips on transit, and free, unlimited trips quadrupled them. They also spent enough on new rides to offset the 50% discount’s cost to Metro.”
