hey remember when you all spent 18 months starving poor kids and punishing any labour politician who rebelled against it?

also: politicians should not have 'moral missions'.
Labour is scrapping the two child benefit cap to deliver on our historic moral mission of tackling child poverty.

Restoring something that should not have been taken away... blocking a cruelty- is NOT giving something. The two child cap should have been obliterated AS SOON AS Labour took power. It was a cruelty that they allowed it to continue.

Tax breaks for UK company cars cost the exchequer £3.27 billion a year

Motability costs £1 billion

Both are valuable to the folk who get them, and yet we save our pitchforks and torches for disabled people

Rachel Reeves says she’s ending “Motability tax breaks”.
Sounds like she’s cracking down on luxury cars, right?

That’s not what’s happening.

These changes raise costs for all disabled people on the scheme, including those with the cheapest cars.

Here’s how. 👇🧵

If 98% of first class seats are not even being used then what is the point in them?

First class rail is a dated idea.

It is at odds with a ScotRail that is run for everyone and it means less seats and busier carriages for the rest of us.

The question “is right wing nationalism good?” was answered definitively when America’s mad emperor started trying to revoke the citizenship of second generation immigrants, so that his personal stormtroopers could abduct them and send them to concentration camps. There’s nothing left to discuss.
This is fine if you live in e.g. Scotland, where national pride is mostly drivel about twee symbols and what a great bunch of lads we are. Obviously it is very bad in England, where it has been demonstrated beyond doubt, over and over, that “national pride” means “Ain’t no black in the Union Jack”.
