Todd Howard trying to win GOTY with the same game for 15 years in a row was really funny to watch tho
Skyrim came out on 11/11/11. I was 16.

They announced TES6 in 2018.

Since that announcement I got married, graduated from college and law school, got a job, moved across the state, bought a house, and had a child.

TES6 is still in pre-production. This is the 7th re-release of Skyrim.

Trump’s foreign policy isn’t “noninterventionism,” it is a kind of neo neo conservatism devoted to imposing authoritarian ethnonationalism abroad instead of democracy (gift link) www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2025/1...

RFI has the best info on how the Bénin coup attempt failed. At Bénin government request, Côte d'Ivoire and Nigeria mobilized the multinational response under ECOWAS umbrella. Nigerian Air Force struck mutineer positions. France provided intelligence support.

Bombs on train tracks. Arson attacks on malls. Poisoned water supplies. These are just some of the recently foiled plots in Russia’s growing campaign of aggression across Europe. What was once a mere nuisance has escalated into a serious threat.

Possibly the most self-destructive reaction towards the US antagonism against the EU is by national leaders offering national partnerships.

This is exactly the kind of avenue for the US/Trump to split Europe and reign over smaller European countries.

Dazzle Ships in Drydock, Liverpool, 1919, painting by Edward Wadsworth. Dazzle camouflage was created in WW1 to protect British ships from German artillery, making it difficult to estimate speed and direction. Wadsworth supervised design of camouflage patterns. #NorthernArt

I wanted dinner recommendations so I scraped 13,000+ London restaurants and accidentally discovered Google Maps is running a shadow economy. Anyway here's a dashboard and a political economy thesis: open.substack.com/pub/laurenle...
How Google Maps quietly allocates survival across London’s restaurants - and how I built a dashboard to see through it
I wanted a dinner recommendation and got a research agenda instead. Using 13000+ restaurants, I rebuild its ratings with machine learning and map how algorithmic visibility actually distributes power.

Heh, in an early 90s TV movie, having a bottle with water in one shot and no water in the next one, would not be noticeable. Btw it’s not often that you can see a real, working, easy method of creating a silenced weapon (one-shot, and only partially effective, but still).

Very poor framing for this piece. I think Trump II is such a challenge for conventional analysts compared to Trump I because it has added a racist civilizational layer to its narrative of grievance over free trade and NATO burden-sharing.

And that's a language many people aren't equipped to parse.

Not at all surprising that @gideonrachman.bsky.social nails it in his reading of the NSS here.
