I will restate my modest proposal to save the BBC: ban the BBC from covering itself.

Every BBC scandal goes huge, because every BBC News show wants to assert its independence by covering it prominently, even if several other shows already did. So it gets blanket headlines.

Inspired by a general love of garlic, and @oldenoughtosay.com’s tweets, I made chicken with ~200 cloves (20 bulbs) of garlic last night

Was it good? Yes

Are we suffering slightly this morning? Also yes…

So much goes into this. For any internal tool nerds, we’ve written a bunch about what we’ve had to build here:

At @incident.io SEV0 watching @lawrencejones.dev show some of the internals of their AI SRE

The product itself looks absolutely fantastic and incredibly powerful

But the other thing that is a joy to see is the sheer quality of internal tooling they’ve built to learn and improve and monitor 😍

A nice piece of level trivia is the characteristically conservative judges involved with the High Court of Chivalry rejected 1189 and set time immemorial as before 1066 instead!

Under Over Over - West Hampstead

So it's taken a while, but I've finally found a location where you can clearly see London Underground trains traveling over London Overground trains.

The vantage point is at West Hampstead Overground station at the end of the platform.

Welcome, new users. Posts on Bluesky are called skjörts. If someone re-skjörts you, that is a doppelskjört. If you respond to a doppelskjört, that is called a Trifect, and you cannot skjört again for nine hours. If you do anyway, that's a Time Clench. It's all very simple.

REUSE is fantastic tooling for software licensing - solves several challenges I’ve had in the past! reuse.software

Great support for multiple licenses, automated checking, and annotating in-file or via config

I recently did this for the first time for Samoyed in github.com/doismellburn...
REUSE - Make licensing easy for everyone
We make licensing easy for humans and machines alike. REUSE solves a fundamental issue that Free Software licensing has at the very source. Adopting our recommendations is as easy as one-two-three!

At this point I'd like to make you all read "Identity Crisis" by Jim Harper. It's a great book, barely dated in over 20 years. He describes how your "identity" once standardised and in widespread use, will be increasingly demanded.
