For the past 18 years or so I would throw a few steaks on the grill and my dad would come over. We would sit on the deck and talk and drink our annual glass of bourbon together. Sometimes other people would join us sometimes it is just the 2 of us. This year he is battling stage 4 lung cancer.
This was good as any club in the city
It was a chain restaurant in a part of town not known for being fashionable. Iverson and other Sixers legends helped transform it into a destination.
TGI Fridays on City Avenue was a longtime Sixers hangout. Then Allen Iverson made it one of Philly’s hottest ‘clubs.’
