I remember being both surprised and awestruck when I found out who sang this one as a kid.

Yes, "Bit by Bit" was the theme from Chevy Chase film Fletch, but it's also really really catchy.

"Automatic" - The Pointer Sisters
"Bit by Bit" - Stephanie Mills
"Invincible" - Pat Benatar
It's kind of funny that Byrne was always vocally against the rhyming and people just kind of ignored him about it even after the attempts to retcon it away.
Right? It can be fun to just toss all your interests in a blender and see what happens.
Yeah! That's the one I was thinking! Hahahha
Started in AV! LOL
From my understanding, aside from the standard stuff, he was starting to do his bizarre toku ero gore thing there too.
The director of Machine Girl and Robo Geisha did the film versions of Zaborgar and Cat Eyed Boy too, just an absolutely bizarre over the top list of films, lol.
The 2011 film adaptation by AV and Horror/Gore director Noboru Iguchi (who also did Robo Geisha, Machine Girl, and The Cat-Eyed Boy movie) did see a U.S. release as Karate Robo Zaborgar though the actual series has remained overlooked.

Movie is a pretty bizarre experience on its own too.

the INVISIBLE MAN is imho probably the best of the OG universal horror films. it is delightfully unhinged and the invisibility effect is still astonishing all of these years later

It’s New Comic Book Day and here’s another of my favorite Halloween themed comic covers, Spider-Woman #32 (November 1980). Cover by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson. #NewComicBookDay #Marvel #UniversalMonsters #FrankMiller
Finally got to see the most recent Superman movie. That was a lot of fun, definitely the best Superman film in years. Could have used a bit more Clark moments but that's a minor point.

Loved "I'm the goddamn Mister Terrific"

Like holy geez the complete entitlement complex and self denial on display in that message. It's actually creepier that he sounds like he's trying to be calm but can't help but seethe in rage under the surface.
"I'm great and there's nothing wrong with me! Why haven't you fallen all over yourself for me?!?! Is there something wrong with you that you can't tell how great I am?!? Normal women would be throwing themselves at my feet but I'm totally taking the time out to leave you a creepy stalker message!!"

In this era of AI videos and audio, I deeply appreciate people admitting they may need help determining something is real, or that they’re wrong, rather than doubling down.

We’ve reached a moment where truth is a needle in a huge haystack, and there are a lot of glinting non-needles!
The boots would probably look amazing, but the shoes will be more comfy if that's gonna be a concern.

We can’t talk about the unforgettable legacy of Paul Sorvino without bringing up one of his greatest line deliveries ever from THE ROCKETEER (1991).
