The intended target audience for this is, for sure, not considered very bright by DJT.

If only MSM had been like this back in 2024, we might have had a rational human being who cared about the country in the Oval Office instead of a demented narcissist who thinks he’s king of the world.

STEPHANOPOULOS: I didn't insinuate anything. I asked you whether Tom Homan accepted $50k as was heard on an audio tape recorded by the FBI in September 2024. You did not answer the question. Thank you for your time.

VANCE: No, George, I sai--

It is said that “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free”. I guess the guy who spoke those words must have been a leftist?

To put it politely, they deemed Thiel’s innovation as “unsatisfactory” and sent him packing. He’s been running around ever since trying to find someone, anyone to pat him on the head and tell him what a profound, intellectual gift to mankind his antichrist musings are.

There might be a back story to all this. Thiel is a big fan of philosopher Rene Girard, and this past summer he traveled to Austria present his ”antichrist take” to a group of theologians who were also into Girard’s ideas.

After spending 43 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, evidence hidden by the prosecution reversed his conviction. Rather than finally enjoying freedom, ICE abducted him for deportation

If you were too young to know what was going on during the 2008 Great Financial Crisis, and how Wall Street avoided being held responsible, this 2010 interview with Michael Lewis is worth a listen. If nothing else, you’ll be prepared for Wall Street’s next delusion.

Not the main takeaway from the article – a sidenote, really – but this is why the Internet of Things concept terrifies me.
Black text on white background reading:

Ordinary American citizens are also feeling pressure from immigration officials for helping immigrants. Investigative journalist Radley Balko reported earlier this week about a lawyer in Texas who was asked for legal help by an immigrant family. Two days after he spoke with them, two men in civilian clothes—who never identified which, if any, law enforcement agency they worked for—knocked on the lawyer’s front door and questioned him about his assistance. The lawyer’s internet access briefly went offline while the agents were present, and they refused to give him their names or badge numbers. [light purple highlight] (As the lawyer told Balko, the suspicious timing of his internet outage ensured that the Ring camera on his front door could not capture the exchange.)

Republicans feel empowered by their leader's autocratic coup against the Constitution to pursue their most cartoonishly evil agenda items, like literally making it easier to kill seals and whales

Republicans try to weaken 50-year-old law protecting whales, seals and polar bears

One of the U.S.’s longest standing pieces of environmental legislation, credited with helping save rare whales from extinction, is the subject of an effort for cutbacks from Republican lawmakers who now feel they have the political will to do so

Trump said he deserved a cut for brokering the TikTok deal, and at once there was agreement that his son Baron would have a top executive slot... though he hasn't asked for it, and has no apparent qualifications to hold it. This is how Trump 2.0 works. www.telegraph.co.uk/us/news/2025...

The problem is that the Rs don’t consider themselves part of an institution, but rather as individuals belonging to a social tribe. Any action to protect the institution automatically gets you ostracized. Plus Trump will send his base after you. These are not people with spines.

Donald Trump's reckless and cruel leadership has pushed families to the brink.

While he uses shutdowns to scapegoat workers, California is stepping up by providing 248,000 federal workers with critical state protections and relief.

We don’t treat public servants as pawns.

Unconstitutionally taking money that the law says must be spent on one purpose & using it for something else—when it's to establish personalist control over the FUCKING MILITARY—is about as dangerous a constitutional crisis/failure as you can imagine

The Office of Management and Budget sent a notification to Congress about their intent to use research and development funds to pay members of the military, two sources with direct knowledge tell NBC News.

A spokesperson for the OMB confirmed to NBC News that it plans to use the research and development funds and that there are two years' worth of funds available within the Department of Defense.
