Just unspeakable assholery.

What's changed is that the Court has become more transparent in its corruption. There's not even an argument here beyond the implicit one which is: how do you expect us to hold the House without those seats?
#BREAKING: Over dissents from the three democratic appointees, #SCOTUS puts Texas's new House maps back into effect for (and, presumably, through) the 2026 midterms.

The three Democratic appointees, in an opinion by Justice Kagan, dissent.

I'll post the ruling shortly.

My guess: the remains of the legitimate DoJ and FBI are ratfucking the current corrupt leadership by forcing them to confront the crimes of Jan. 6. The prosecutor who secured this indictment also got convictions of the Proud Boys that were later overturned by Hair Furor. Eat this, Bondi and Patel.

An in-depth—& infuriating—overview of the wilding spree Elon and his minions subjected our government to, and a sad survey of the wreckage they left behind. Maybe the worst self-sabotage in US history. If a foreign enemy (or evil space aliens) had taken over, they could hardly have done worse.

On the one hand, these numbers are heartening. It means that the more voters learn about these monstrous policies, the more they oppose them.

On the other hand, it means that 77% of registered Republicans don’t care if DHS/ICE harasses, detains, and possibly even deports US citizens.

The Supreme Court made up the "major questions doctrine," under which the Court gets extra powers when things are a Big Deal and what's a Big Deal is up to the Justices.

Why not make up a new "signature policies" rule where a president can put things beyond the court's reach, like a franchise tag.
Bessent on tariffs: "This is one of President Trump's signature policies, and traditionally the Supreme Court does not interfere with a president's signature policy."
