Literally all this dude wants is for people to give him endless stupid awards and tell him how good and brilliant he is, doesn’t matter who, doesn’t matter if the awards are fake. Just gold stuff for the very special boy while he wrecks the world

An arial view of the capitol 1950. Austin looks like a sleepy, pastoral, bucolic burg, doesn't it? Hardly any traffic! Little did folks sitting out on their porches drinking lemonade or ice tea on a drowsy Sunday afternoon suspect what a metropolis it would become. From the Austin History Center.

There it is. Today, Greg Abbott got what he wanted all along: he cheated Texas voters out of real representation in Congress to rig the game for his friends.

If you see John Roberts in person, be sure to tell him he’s a worse Chief Justice than Roger Taney (pronounced “tawny”). That’s a nerd burn that will hit him where it counts.

The explicit rationale DOJ told TX to use, which Abbot & co. then did, is that you can have a district where white + black voters, or white + Hispanic voters, or white/black/Hispanic on their own, constitute a majority, but not a black + Hispanic majority. That's how facially discriminatory it is.

I named my fists “Groucho” and “Chico” because they’re gonna leave Marx.
I named my fists "Dunning" and "Kruger" because I haven't trained in any sort of martial art but am confident I would do pretty well.
I named my fists Chekhov and Gun because you know they're coming but you don't know when

This They Might Be Giants TONIGHT SHOW performance of "Birdhouse In Your Soul" from 1990 remains firmly lodged in my noggin thanks to the Tonight Show Band's full commitment and Doc Severinsen's incredible trumpeting... It took an already great song and made it transcendent.

“What Child is This” is my favorite Christian Christmas song.

I don’t have a favorite secular, but “Wonderful Christmastime” is by far my most hated
What is your favorite "Christian" Christmas song and what is your favorite "Secular" Christmas song?

I will probably always adore "O Come All Ye Faithful" and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" for Christian.

And "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" for secular.
